Brayden's Birthday

Brayden is now 1 year old. We had a western birthday party for him since we had just come from spending a month in Colorado. We had lots of friends and family over. It was a great day. He got lots of presents, but not very many that made noise or needed batteries which was a gift to us. He did not enjoy his cake as you will see below. He wasn't sure what to do with it which is not a bad thing. He just looked at it. We finally put his hand in it and Blake ate a bite to show him that he could eat it, but he just wasn't interested. He ate carrots and a pear later. There will come a day thought when those things will reverse I am sure.

Blake's parents gave Brayden this cool tricycle.

He likes to store things in the compartment.

Tilleros boys gave Brayden a Thomas the Train railroad set.

Playing with his cousins, Anna Grace and Addyson Kate.

Brayden's first taste of Watermelon. I had tried before, but this time he loved it, but he hasn't like it since. :)

Brayden's Twin cousins, Xavier and Zane.

Brayden loves the slide.

This is the rest of our pictures from Colorado. We went to Trail West on one of the last days that we were there. Trail West is a family camp that is only about 20 minutes from Frontier, which is where we were. They have a petting zoo there, so we went and Brayden loved it.

Brayden rode his first pony. He held on tight. He kept pulling the ponies mane too. He laughed and got real excited. At one point Blake let go of him.

They also had carriage rides. That was fun.

Brayden loved the rabbits. He would pet them and then start pulling on their ears.

Brayden driving his first tractor. Howdy!

He wasn't too sure about the goats.

We went on a hike yesterday with Brayden. It was a shorter hike than we did the second week we were here. This hike took about 3 hours. Brayden did great. He loved being in the pack. He looked so cute in there.

Brayden having a little lunch on the top of the mountain.

This is a picture of the camp from the top.

Father and Son's First Hiking Adventure

Brayden took his first real step today. We caught it on video. As you watch it you will notice everyone screaming and then Brayden started crying because it scared him. I think that he would have taken a second step if he wouldn't have been so startled. Enjoy!

Frontier Ranch Part 2

We are still here in Colorado. We are starting our last week. Here are some more pictures from our time here. This first picture is Brayden's first time to really stand up by himself. It look like he is holding onto the volleyball netting, but he is standing. It was for about 20 seconds or so. It seemed really long. He is still not walking. He will take a step from a table to a chair or something, but for the most part he is content with crawling and cruising. He loved the stairs and has mastered those; going up and coming down.

This is Ray and Josh's characters, Baby and Baby. There are baby rappers. It is pretty hilarious.

Blake and Josh leading the Rodeo.
Brayden has started to love rocks since he has been here. He loves to put them in his mouth, so we have been working on that. If you look carefully you can tell he has one in the right side of his mouth. I'm not really worried about the dirt as I am his teeth.

Blake and I went on the hike the second week we were here. The whole camp hikes a 13,000 ft. mountain. The view was beautiful as you can tell.

These are more pictures of the western night.

Our friends have a hiking pack for kids and so we took Brayden on a little walk.

Here are the rest of the videos of the opera. It should pick up where I left off on the last blog.
